The Museum of Mediterranean and Near-Eastern Antiquities in Stockholm is one of the four Swedish State Museums of World Culture. In 2024, I was asked by the Head of Programs to create a lecture series on the cultural and social history of perfumery. Under the title “With a scent of…“, the series presents historical perfumery raw materials from the museum’s geographical focal regions.

Created in collaboration with world-renowned raw material producers IFF and Laboratoire Monique Rémy, each lecture explores a natural raw material, its chemical components, cultural history and role in contemporary perfumery. The series has been a tremendous success, becoming the museum’s most popular public program series in history.
